Before we list the jobs, let’s be honest about the numbers, because many online articles overpromise.

A major 2025 McKinsey report found that with today’s technology, machines could technically handle a large share of work hours across many jobs. However, McKinsey is careful to note that this is a ceiling, not a prediction. It refers to what’s technically possible, not what will definitely happen to your job. Most roles are more likely to change than to disappear completely.

Separately, a study by Anthropic, the company behind the Claude AI models, found that marketing and market research positions have a higher percentage of automatable tasks. That doesn’t mean marketing jobs are disappearing; it means the routine, repetitive parts of marketing jobs are the first to be automated.

The honest takeaway is that no job is 100% “AI-proof”. But some roles rely heavily on skills like judgement, trust, creativity, and relationships, areas where today’s AI still struggles.
